YMCA Summer Camp Awards

Lola got the award for the best singer.

Sophie got the Walking Encyclopedia Award
(the polite way of calling her a know-it-all)

4th of July

Lola was really proud of the brownies she helped decorate. Tommye had a great idea of cutting brownies out with star cookie cutters. I decided to take on the task...it wasn't as easy as I though it would be. There was quite a bit of wasted brownie and the stars were not easy to free from the cookie cutters. (Don't get me wrong...none of the uncut portions went to waste...we had to eat them.) Lola helped with the icing and the sprinkles.

Jenner's flip-flops matched Lola's dress perfectly.
She was surprised however when they didn't fit her feet.

Holiday World

Sophie, Lola, and I went with Kate and Natalie on our annual trip to Holiday World. (Where are we going to get tickets now Kate? lol)
The first thing the girls wanted to go on was the bumper boats. This ended up being the longest line of the whole day. I think they waited for 45 minutes. Good thing it was first.

Waiting for their turn on the roller coaster...I think they were a little nervous.

Natalie really didn't want it to go around a second time.

It's over...and it was fun after all.

Bounce Zone

The girls got free passes to Bounce Zone as one of their prizes for reading books from the Noblesville Library. Mommy took her computer (free wi-fi) and worked while the girls bounced the day away.

Peanut Wertz

Everyone is anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby Wertz! I am so happy for Michelle and Craig. I am also excited for Mike and Cheri - their first grandbaby! You can follow Michelle's progress on her blog http://cmwertz.blogspot.com/.
Keep us updated Michelle!

Indianapolis Indians Game - PLAY BALL!!!!!

We made it back to an Indians game for Lola's big night. She got to go down to the field and into the dugout. They gave her a baseball from the dugout.

You can see where are seats were for this game - 8th row behind home plate. Sophie is in red shirt and Brian is wearing yellow hat.

Rowdy giving Lola a high five.

Lola doing what Lola does best....playing in the dirt...she just couldn't resist.

This is during the National Anthem. Notice the quartet in the background singing. Lola moved out to the grass and sat down to clean the dirt out from between her toes (from playing in the dirt.)

Getting Ready

Hello Everyone...this is Lola Matthews.

PLAY BALL!!!!

Dentist Appointment

Lola had never been to the dentist and Sophie hasn't been since we moved from Florida. So we found a pediatric dentist office that came recommended from several sources. They even took pictures of the girls with their new dentist and gave them to us.
