Dave Matthews, the crab
Lola got a hermit crab. His name is Dave Matthews. We really haven't got to see him much. He apparently really likes his peace sign shell. Lola put Fozzie in there in case he needs some company while we are gone during the day.

Monster Truck
Its really hard to fold the laundry when a cute little kitten keeps curling up to sleep on the warm clothes.
Once I kicked him off he made the dog get up so he could take over her pillow. Its amazing how bossy a little kitten can be.

First Day of School 2013-2014
First Day of the 2013-2014 School Year
Sophie is a 6th grader and moves to South Spencer Middle School.
She has Mrs. (Tara) Compton has her homeroom teacher. She decided to play her daddy's trumpet in band.
Lola is a 4th grader at Luce Elementary School. Mrs. Wilson switched from a 3rd grade teacher to 4th grade teacher so Lola has her again this year - she is soooooo excited!

Growing Up
I had some paper grow charts in the girls rooms when they were little. But through all the moves the charts have been put away and not brought back out. I have been wanting to make another more substantial chart for a while and well, figured I need to get on it before they grow up. So here is the new grow chart made from an old bed slat. I didn't want to use the wall because I want to be able to take it with us if we ever move again.

Soph's got Spirit
Soph earned the Spirit Stick at Cheer Camp this summer. I found an old Spirit Stick from one of my years at cheer camp. Umm, its a little "aged" compared to her bright white one.

Lola and Mommy's fun Saturday
Lola got a glass bottle of Mt Dew the other day from the station here in Richland. She saved the cap because she thought it was cool and wanted to make something with it. She decided to make a hair clip. Turned out cute! She had to wear it when we went out to eat.
Next we did our grocery shopping and she used her money to buy the coolest straw glasses EVER from Walmart. So of course we had to drive through Tastee Freeze for a cherry coke to try them out!
