Xmas Gifts

I made this for my niece Samantha. It is an earring holder. You just push the earrings through the tulle and then you can put the back on to hold it in place. I also added hanging hearts at the bottom for hoop earrings or necklaces or bracelets.

The tiles below are from the bathroom at Granny's house. This is Agnes Rose Matthews' house that was torn down last year. I painted them with an "M" for Matthews and glued a ribbon on the back for hanging.

These are some of the bean/pea art that I made for Xmas presents this year. I should have taken pictures of all of them before I gave them away. But maybe I can get the recipients to take some pics and send them to me. (Hint Hint Cindy, Donna, and Kathy) I will have to say I think they look much better in person than they do here.

This one is for Tommye (my mother-in-law). Granny's house was filled with ladybugs. Tommye said that she hoped she wouldn't see another ladybug once they moved to their new house. I just couldn't let that happen.

Last Minute Christmas Card

I was pretty slow getting around to my Christmas cards this year. I took this picture last week. Then I made the card in about an hour and had them ready to go the next day. Sometimes last minutes things don't turn out that bad.

The saying is what the Grinch says when his heart grows three sizes from the Dr. Seuss story.

Shelton Xmas Card

My sister got an excellent picture of her kids for their Christmas card this year. However, this was the first year that she didn't attempt to include the pets. So she asked if I could take some pictures of her animals and photoshop them in. Here is the finished result of the Christmas card I designed for her. She hasn't decided between the snow all over or just the snow in the box yet.

Dicken's Village Mystery

The car the always "magically" appears in my Dicken's Village every year. hmmm Who knew Scrooge was rich enough to afford a car before they were even invented.

Baking Cookies

We made some Holiday Cookies. Sprinkles were EVERYWHERE!!!

Sophie is STAR of the WEEK!!!

Every kid in Miss Monserud's class gets a week where they are the "STAR of the WEEK!" Sophie's was the second week in December. She was so excited the Friday before because she got to bring home a poster to decorate and take back to school on Monday and show to all of her friends. The star of the week also gets to be the teacher's helper and the line leader throughout the week.

Here is her poster.

She had to find pictures of things she does NOT like and stick them here.
Her items included Brussel Sprouts, Cleaning her Room, Spicy Foods and Monsters.

Here are her Statistics.

Next she had to find pictures of her favorite things. Sophie thinks Google is the greatest thing ever so to find all of the pictures she wanted, we googled the pics, printed and cut them out.
Her favorite things include Lola (which Mommy thought was very sweet), O'Charley's, reindeer, horses, stars, reading, and macaroni and cheese.

Here is the picture she drew of her family. Check out Daddy's mustache. And in case you don't know we have two dogs and two cats.

Her 3 wishes:
1. I could fly. 2. ..it would stay winter all the time. 3....I would be a teenager now.
(Mommy is glad none of her wishes have been granted.)

When she grows up she wants to be a doctor that also trains horses. But she said that was too much to write so she just put down doctor. She is the one smiling and the patient is on a "thing" that goes up and down and isn't happy about it. I think this stems from her seeing mommy at work and watching my patients have to run on a treadmill. She remembers that it inclines quite a bit and the patients didn't like it. Its been a while since she has been to work with me though so some of the details are kind of foggy.

She also had to take in a couple pictures of her to post in the classroom. These are the ones she chose.
